So naturally of course, I decided to start spraying magic on my face since palo azul has even more antioxidants than green tea and several people have asked me about my skincare routine so it must be doing something! My skin definitely feels softer and more vibrant after spraying, and I already drink a bunch of magic so I might as well nourish my skin with antioxidants as well. After brewing and cooling your tea, just pour it into a clean spray bottle and lightly mist your skin.

Many people enjoy palo azul while intermittent fasting because it has 0 sugar, 0 calories, and 0 caffeine, making it an easy way to stay hydrated. It also has a smooth, earthy, slightly sweet flavor that feels even more satisfying while fasting. 

Moreover, this 2020 study actually shows that palo azul increases AMPK, which is the same pathway that fasting increases. "Intermittent fasting (IF) extends life span via pleotropic mechanisms, but one important molecular mediator is (AMPK). Here are our favorite recipes that stay blue if you don't add too much of the other ingredients:

If you made too much magic and you want to save it for it later, you can freeze it and it will last much longer. The tea also tastes slightly sweeter when it's really cold.

Icing Injuries

I've personally gotten several injuries on my shoulders, elbows, ankles, and fingers from doing calisthenics, gymnastics, or playing too much guitar. So one day I thought...why use regular ice cubes when I can use magik ice cubes rich in anti-inflammatory nutrients? So I started applying the magik cubes all over my body wherever I felt pain and I definitely feel that it helps to reduce pain and swelling. 

This study actually found that palo azul's polyphenols exhibited "topical anti-inflammatory activity" and they " could efficiently cross the skin". Therefore, palo azul helped to "ameliorate edema (swelling)" by applying it topically on the skin.
